Red Devils win the Premiership

Manchester United has won the 2007 English Premier League title after Chelsea drew 1-1 with Arsenal. With 2 games left, United now have a 7 point lead over Chelsea, and with 3 points (for you soccer amateurs) earned per win, Chelsea is now all but dead.

This year has all but crashed for Chelsea, going for 4 major titles in Europe and/or England, having already won 1 (Carling Cup), are now in danger of winning just 1 after losing in the UEFA Champions League semifinal, and now the Premiership. Unless they beat Man U on May 19th in the FA Cup final, Chelsea would’ve blown a chance at winning multiple titles.

Photo of Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho, looking as if he just gave the most passionate kiss of his life to Lassana Diarra, is taken by Tom Hevezi from the AP. Photo shown here is also shown on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

There’s also a rumor on whether or not Jose Mourinho will stay in Chelsea after this disappointing season, and he’s not helping himself after this collapse.

So does Mourinho stay or go?

NBA Roundup

Jazz 103 Rockets 99 (Utah 4-3): Tracy McGrady will never go past the 1st round. The Rockets rallied from 16 down to take a 5 point lead in the 4th quarter, only to blow that lead and lose at home. Mehmet Okur hit 2 late three pointer’s to keep the game to 2 possessions, and after Tracy McGrady had an uncontested layup, the Rockets didn’t foul any of the Jazz players until there was 1.8 seconds left. Andrei Kirilenko sealed the game with 2 free throws that barely made it in to advance to lose face the Golden State Warriors. As of this morning, Jeff Van Gundy has apparently retired from coaching after another humiliating end to their season.

Pistons 98 Bulls 69 (Det 1-0): This was just ugly, I’ll just skip to the next game.

Cavaliers 81 Nets 77 (Cle 1-0): The Cavaliers won after trailing by 8 in the 1st half, and staving off a late rally by the Nets in the closing seconds. After Lebron James scored to make it a 81-77 game with 19.5 seconds, the Nets couldn’t get a quick shot off, Lebron blocked a shot, then the buzzer sounded. Garbage finish if you’re New Jersey.
