SS Reporters Turns One

Today is a very special day for this blog. Not because I had a 16-0 record last night in my bracket challenge (no really, I did go 16-0), but because Stupid Sideline Reporters is one year old! On March 21, 2007 at 12:54 PM, a student named Mookie hit publish on his original blogspot website and the wonderful journey began.

A blog that once had maybe a dog on a computer looking at this site now has hundreds throughout the world visiting and many comments written. It’s very special to me that 594 posts later, I’ve gone this far without getting tired of writing or neglecting this place.

My writing has gradually improved towards the summer and in June 2007, Dan Lewis forced invited me to write for ArmchairGM.com. Some of the posts you see here are from ArmchairGM and some of the posts you see there are from this blog.

The success on SS Reporters spawned a weekly updated blog called Footy Mania, a site dedicated to all things soccer back in August. Although not as popular, it’s still receiving link partners and commenting.

And of course on my birthday (11/5/07), it was time for SSR to move on from blogger and head over to WordPress…where it has seen the brighter side of having pages and more widgets.

Now it’s one year later, and since I’ve bored you with this speech, here are some milestone posts of note:
