Admit it, after Madden 2004 or whatever it was, the series took a nosedive. Worst glitches I’ve ever seen, Michaels and Madden were pretty much worthless. Well Madden 2009 actually looks good in this test video. The running motions are better, the stadiums look great, the scoreboard at the top is cleaner, and Tom Hammond and Cris Collinsworth will be…in another video, but they should be good.
At least they’re not as bad as NBA Live.
It’s disappointing though that John Madden doesn’t get his chance this season to finally record that “Brett Favre…is just Brett Favre and of all Brett Favre’s in the world, he may be the best Brett Favre out there. I’m quite sure there is only one Brett Favre though and that is what makes him unique.” line.

That’s it. I’m giving the Boston Celtics ZERO chance to win this series now. I’m sure Doc Rivers knew that if the Celtics lost one game at home, it’s over. Now after a 103-97 loss to the Pistons, they will have to win at least one, and likely 2 games in Detroit to make it to the NBA Finals.
I didn’t watch the game until the 2nd half (I actually didn’t realize it was on….shame on me), but Boston’s defense looked pathetic. Rodney Stuckey looked like a 5 time NBA All-Star out there. The backup guard from Eastern Washington went 5-8 for 13 points, while Rip Hamilton torched them for 25. Their offense didn’t help either, they continuously settled for the outside jumper, and even Rajon Rondo’s floating shots were off the mark. Detroit just rattled them last night. Boston was holding the ball too long, they were forced into turnovers by that aggressive defense, and as mentioned, taking really bad shots.
Down the stretch, they were still in the game. It was 101-97 and a basket of any sort would’ve forced the Pistons to make their free throws and extend the contest. Instead, Ray Allen (who had a fine game mind you) could not get through the screen and 2 Piston players on the inbounds pass, they took forever to get a shot off and Kevin Garnett put up a prayer three which was way off, ball game.
They’ve been rattled offensively throughout the playoffs, and Detroit’s defense is flustering them. Flip Saunders, it’s now your series to lose. The monkey is almost off of your back now.
