Sam “Hands of Stone” Stout, despite his nickname, is not known for knocking people out. He’s entertaining but he has never really shown powerful hands. So it was a complete “Holy S***” moment when he essentially became the first man to KO MMA veteran Yves Edwards at last night’s UFC 131 preliminary card in Vancouver, BC. (After the jump)

Not much more to say after that. Yves was okay and alert and this is a KO of the Year contender.
Overall this was a very entertaining event capped off with Junior Dos Santos’ destruction of Shane Carwin in a battle of heavy-hitting heavyweights to determine the challenger for Cain Velasquez’s first title defense.
