Toronto FC Tied 1-1 at Halftime

This may be the most undeserved halftime tie TFC has ever gotten. They’re playing like complete garbage and this comical defense has been lucky NOT to have a player sent off. Lucky for them the Philadelphia Union’s Danny Califf elbowed Julian De Guzman in the face and was shown a straight red card. On the subsequent free kick Dwayne De Rosario’s effort was fumbled into the net off of GK Chris Seitz for a goal against the run of play.

Then with 10 men and on the road, Philly passed the ball beautifully and Roger Torres set up Jordan Harvey, who went past Maksim Usanov to make it 1-1 in first half stoppage time.

TFC can’t string 3 passes together and got a lucky goal. Then they let a team a man down walk the ball into the net.

Basically a draw would be a good thing, because without the sending off the Union are probably ahead by more than one goal.

One more half to go….thankfully.
