I’ve made it clear I don’t like Bob Bradley’s coaching and yesterday pretty much assured he’s gone. Brazil put up a 23-man roster which featured only 4 players who played in the World Cup and 10 who had never earned an international cap. In essence this was Brazil’s B- team against the A- team of the USA. The result? An easy 2-0 Brazil win which probably should’ve been 5 or 6-0.
Can Bradley go now? The US had most of their World Cup roster playing and the defense got ripped to shreds, especially on the wings. I know it’s just a friendly but the US looked pathetic at the New Meadowlands Stadium. There needs to be wholesale changes both in the roster and in coaching. If Bradley is fired then that should spell the end for Sacha Kljestan, Jonathan Bornstein, Robbie Findley, and Jonathan Spector as US Men’s National Team players. Brazil made all of them look totally amateurish and most of these guys had never played at the senior level before last night’s game.
Time to go, Bob. I think we’ve seen enough and despite ESPN’s obvious marketing ploy to say the US had a “successful” World Cup, Bradley is not the man for the job today and definitely not for the 2014 World Cup.
