Okay Panic, TFC Down 2-0 to New York Red Bulls

The worst possible scenario for Toronto FC was to lose their first home game of the season to the New York Red Bulls. Well thanks to Rafa Marquez and an own goal, it’s 2-0 to the Red Bulls at halftime at BMO Field. Toronto FC came off a high by beating Cruz Azul midweek in the CONCACAF Champions League, and have not played poorly today; when push comes to shove you have to finish your chances and TFC haven’t. Rafa Marquez’s long-range volley opened the scoring and his free kick bounced off of Nana Attakora (who should’ve cleared) to the feet of Joseph Nane for an own goal.

If TFC can’t salvage a draw out of this they’ll have no choice but to start winning on the road if they want to make the playoffs. That’s probably not going to happen.

45 minutes to go until panic mode sets in.
