This isn’t the best team in Manchester United history. It may not even be better than last season’s. But tomorrow they will be champions with one measly point against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park. A win should be the expectancy given the fact that they smashed them 7-1 in the reverse fixture.
It only takes one more point to make the puzzling home draw with West Brom, just a 5-9-4 away record (worse than Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City), an embarrassing defeat to Wolves, and a random rotation of defenders all irrelevant.
A 19th title is within touching distance. Go out there and crown yourselves champions and subsequently knock Liverpool off their perch. Stand alone and stake your claim as the best team in England and celebrate a famous and rather unusual path towards glory again.
