What is it with England’s former colonies and bizarre goalkeeping? Down 2-1 in the 87th minute, Quillan Roberts had a hopeful kick into England’s penalty area go over the head of a Canadian forward, then bounce over the England goalkeeper and into the net. (After the jump)
Canada hung on for the 2-2 draw, earning them their first ever point in U-17 World Cup play. Their previous matches in this tournament resulted in losses by a combined 47-3.
It’s incredibly fluky, but it will go down as a great moment for Quillan Roberts and Canadian soccer.
