AUDIO OF THE DAY: David Freese’s Home Run as Called on BBC Radio

The Seahawks lost badly again yesterday. It was another unremarkable week of ugly football in what’s becoming a slowly unwatchable season (thank you lockout!). So here’s another baseball post from me, a clip of BBC Five Live Sports Extra’s Simon Brotherton calling David Freese’s game 6 clinching home run in the World Series. Yes, British people commentate on baseball and it’s fantastic to hear the actual commentary.

View it after the jump……

Purely epic. Now I just need to hear them on the NFL so I can find an alternate to FOX’s jokers.

Speaking of St. Louis, Tony LaRussa retired today. What a career and what a way to go out. You could make a movie out of this it was that dramatic of a season for the Cardinals. Have a happy retirement, Tony!

I’ve heard Brotherton do football (er soccer) a few times before. I think I actually prefer him calling baseball. Lots of excitement in his call. And there’s still something about baseball on the radio.
